The feature of Weymouth golf course, which is bound to strike the golfing visitor before any other is the magnificence of its situation. It is situated in the heart of Weymouth town.

Almost 100 years old, (2009) Weymouth golf club continues to develop year upon year. Recent drainage work to the greens along with the installation of a 18 new tees make this gem of a course one of the most popular in Dorset.

Weymouth Golf Club prides itself on it's friendly atmosphere and welcomes visitors throughout the year for golf as well as excellent catering and bar facilities.
 

During the 1980's, the Club negotiated a 100 year lease from the council and at the same time the course layout was revised when the town's relief road was built across the bottom of the course. In 1993, members moved into a magnificent new clubhouse. It was and remains, a beautiful parkland course with views over the Dorset coast and countryside, with an aura of traditional golf which has changed it's historic roots but has carefully changed with the times.
 

The quality of Weymouth Golf Course is a testament to the hard working green staff, management and committees, all working towards the same goal.
 

At 5996 yards Weymouth may not be the longest of courses but the course is very tight and provides a true test of golf for all standards from Professional to Amateur.
