Founded in 1923, the clubhouse and course of Welwyn Garden City Golf Club have undergone many changes to produce the facilities that the members and guests enjoy today.  Originally planned as a 9 hole course, with the purchase of adjoining land and the loss of other areas to development, the present 18 hole layout was settled in the late 60’s and early 70’s.

At 6,114 yards off the back tees, and in an undulating parkland setting, the course at first sight seems a relatively easy test of golf.  With narrow fairways and small greens there are many scorecards that tell a different story.

Conveniently situated within 10 miles of the M25 and next to Junction 4/5 of the A1(M), Welwyn Garden City Golf Club has a reputation for consistently providing members and guests with a course that is amongst the best in the area. The club has a long tradition to uphold, and takes great care to provide a warm welcome to all golfers and societies; and to ensure that everyone who uses the club has an enjoyable experience.
