Taunton & Pickeridge is a traditional members' golf club set on Pickeridge Hill in the Blackdown Hills about 3 miles outside Taunton. The golf course was designed by Mr Henry Fowler out of the rolling contours of the land and has views over the Vale of Taunton and the countryside for miles beyond. It is a course of traditional design and though not a long course, it is still a very good test of golf. In recent years, the condition of the course has improved markedly and we like to think that our greens are as good as you will find anywhere in Somerset.

The clubhouse was rebuilt in 1996/97 to provide a modern, comfortable and attractive facility - it has also been held up as an example to other clubs of how to undertake a clubhouse redevelopment. There are all the facilities expected of a leading private club, including a restaurant, attractive bar, comfortable lounge, quality changing rooms and a snooker room. The bar, lounge and restaurant all open out onto a terrace with the 18th green a few yards away for those grandstand finishes. With views to Glastonbury Tor, the Mendips, the Brendons, Exmoor, the Vale of Taunton, the Quantocks and the Blackdowns laid out in front of the clubhouse, it is the ideal place to enjoy a convivial drink and re-live the best shots of the round.

Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club has one of the best courses in Somerset and is an ideal venue for the visitor. We welcome visitors as either casual green fee visitors (with a handicap) or as an organised society.
