As one of the oldest clubs in the South West (founded 1882) and a founder member Club of the SGU (1907), Minehead is justly proud of its course, which combines the best of traditional links and some characteristics of parkland golf. The greens are as good in summer or winter and amongst the best you’ll find anywhere. “We play golf as golf should be played. We never tee off mats or play to temporary greens, even in winter.” At 6153 yards, the par of 71 represents a true test for the scratch golfer as well as the novice. The visitor is guaranteed a warm welcome from Ian Read the Club Professional who, with his staff, offers a well-stocked shop and expert golfing tuition. The Clubhouse offers well-appointed facilities for all, and a friendly welcome always awaits the visitor and society golfer as well as members. Daily Green Fees: £35 (Weekday) & £40 (Weekends & Bank Holidays). Excellent packages available all year to groups and societies. The course is within easy walking distance of the town, and yet is set in magnificent countryside with views north across the Channel to South Wales and south towards the Exmoor National Park.

Club Contact: 01643 702057.
