Fereneze is a moorland course with panoramic views over the Clyde Valley and beyond. The views, solitude, natural fauna and wildlife make it difficult to believe that Glasgow city centre is only 30 minutes away. In fact, many of the holes are named after distant hills or munros, which are clearly visible on the skyline. The course has tight, undulating fairways which reward accurate driving and any number of stimulating holes. Examples are the par 5th , which involves a demanding drive over a gorge and the par five 8th where a tough decision is required , cut the corner over the reservoir or play it short and safe. Its downhill all the way at the 374 yard 18th hole with the green actually in range of the long hitters with a prevailing wind, but golfers should take care as they steer a path for home because hazards lurk on both sides of a narrow fairway. After a game, the Clubhouse extends a warm and friendly welcome to visitors.
