The East Renfrewshire Golf Club is located off the M77, 10 miles from Glasgow city centre, 2 miles south of Newton Mearns.

‘East Ren’ is one of the finest Braids courses in the West of Scotland featuring elevated tees that flatter the tee shot which require accuracy in shot positioning. In typical Braid style the course, which is set partly around a fishing loch, uses the contours of the land to best effect offering players options on shots – go for the green and carry water or other difficulties or lay up short and depend on good chipping. The 14th is a prime example the hole being a par 4 with an undulating fairway and a burn unseen from the second shot lying 80 yards short of a well-protected green. The course is 6017 yards in length par 70 and is laid out on some 130 acres of undulating moorland which at about 500 feet provides excellent views over Glasgow to the southern highlands beyond so even if having a bad day on the course the player is rewarded with stunning views and sense of tranquillity. Well worth a visit.
