Bridgnorth is a picturesque 18 hole course, mainly parkland set in a beautiful stretch of the Severn Valley.  The club moved to its present site in Stanley Lane in1906, bordered by the then active railway line running up the Severn Valley, 9 holes were created and were played upon until 1972. In 1962 the railway line became a victim of DR. Beeching’s governmental axe and negotiations took place for the land between the railway line and the River Severn. Thus we became a 18 hole course in August 1972 with the course being opened by top professionals of the day – Neil Coles, John Garner and Max Faulkner.

In the Autumn of 2001, a re-building programme of all 18 greens to USPGA specifications, which has now resulted in our having playable greens all year round. The Club House has first class bar and catering facilities and can cater for societies by prior arrangement. The course is a delight to play, covering varying types of terrain. Some holes are on dry springy turf; some on generally free draining land overlooking the Severn flood plain; while the holes alongside the River Severn are on fertile, silt generated meadowland.
