The golf course lies within the boundaries of the original Kenmure Estate purchased by Charles Stirling (a West India trader) in 1806. The course has a significant element of "policy" woodland, which offers broad-leafed species including oak, ash, beech etc, established at that time, and still remains today.

The modern course measures 6262 yards par 71 of parkland with tree lined fairways and excellent greens. A recent investment of £350000 in drainage and course improvement with Sport Scotland, R&A and Club members’ assistance has added significantly to the layout, which now includes; A Golf Academy with 6 Driving bays, practice greens and a 9 hole mini course which all add up to a memorable visit to the Bishopbriggs Golf Club.

A number of holes have good views of both the Campsie Fells and wetlands adjacent to Possil Loch, a wild life site of special interest. The Clubhouse provides a wide choice of food ranging from the traditional golfers fayre to fine dining and is a popular venue for both Members and visitors alike.
