Some two miles from Rochford and set in 110 acres of English countryside, the course is comparatively young but, despite having apparently been built on the site of an old brickworks, it has matured into an expansive and generous test of golf. Ignore the stories of witchcraft in the nearby village of Canewdon and prefer, rather, to weave your own brand of magic over holes that will challenge and, from time to time, deceive those hooked into a false sense of security by the word ‘parkland.’ A magnificent clubhouse, an Aladdin’s Cave of a pro-shop and very good value for money.
