Alford Golf Club is set amidst the beautiful countryside of the Grampians with wonderful views of the Bennachie hills. Situated in the heart of Alford with history and heritage all around, with both the Heritage and Grampian Transport Museums being only a step away.
The course was founded in 1982 as a nine hole course and was enlarged to an 18 hole course in 1992 as its popularity grew. This parkland course is a challenging and enjoyable experience, testing the skills of all golfing abilities, with some tricky wedge shots. The dog leg at the 18th, 393yards, is well worth waiting for as you reach the green with the gallery of the clubhouse surrounding it.
Last year the course received many compliments on the wonderful condition of the greens and fairways. Sandy Pirie ex Walker Cup and International player remarked that the greens were the best he had played in the North East, praise indeed.
This parkland course is 5483 yards, par 69 which allows you to play two rounds of golf easily in a day and still have time to sample our chef’s wonderful cuisine while relaxing in the comfort of the clubhouse Catering is available any time of day from Easter to October.
